I'm really missing my shadow and my faithful friend. Today we had to put down our Shihtzu, Pepper. She was only 8 1/2 years old, but had cancer and woke up today not doing so well. She was the smartest and sweetest dog I have ever had, and was a real family dog. Some dogs tend to stick closest to one person, but she loved all 4 of my kids. I think my oldest son is going to find it hardest tonight when he heads to bed and she isn't with him as she has slept on his bed for most of her life.

I am so sorry to hear about Pepper. I know that she was very important part of your family and will be missed terribly. I can totally understand how they can touch your heart because I received a Shihtzu puppy last year for our anniversary and I can't imagine life without him now. They are just like another child in the family. My heart goes out to your family. Take care.

I'm so sorry to hear about Pepper. She's a lovely looking dog. I can imagine how she would have been a much loved member of your family. I know you'll miss her terribly but you'll always have the wonderful memories of the 8 1/2 years you shared with her. Sending big hugs to you and your family. Take care.
